Poor Baby!

Hey everyone! I am trying to get back into the groove and update the blog more often. It has been great to spend more time with Ayden during the weekends and at nights now that I am not working as much. You really begin to realize what you can miss in even just a few days. So, needless to say it has been great to catch up to see all the things he is doing now.

Ayden is just getting over his first real sickness. It was hard to see him that uncomfortable and unhappy. We have been fortunate with him not getting really sick before and it was just hard because you feel so helpless when he doesn’t feel good. He is getting better now and I am just thankful that he is getting back to his fun-loving, smiling personality.

He is really trying to talk and repeat what you say. He is getting pretty good at saying “dog”, “cat” and “ball”. Ayden also loves to look at his pictures around the house and then will say his name. It takes a little coaxing, but he will say “Ay-Den”. So cute because he gets so excited when he sees all of the pictures.

He has 6 teeth now, 4 on top and the two on the bottom. He of course tries to put everything in his mouth. Ayden is also doing really well standing by himself and not holding onto anything. He won’t do it too long, but he is trying. Here are some new pics. Hope you enjoy~

He loves to look out the windows.

Crazy January!!!

Hi everyone! I know I have not updated the blog in a while but I have been working late everyday in January. It has been a difficult month for me in that I have not had many opportunities to see Ayden. I am very excited that our busy tax season is tapering off to allow for some more family time.
During the past month, Ayden has been doing some great things. He is really starting to say some words besides his favorite “Dada”. If you say to him, “Ayden, where’s your truck?”…he will go over to his truck, say “Tuck”, drive it around and go ROOMMMM!! It is so cute and I am so proud of him. He tries to say a lot of the words that you say, so it is really cool.
What I love the most about what he is doing now, is he is always looking to see if you are watching when he does things. So, for instance he will have a toy in both of his hands, and he will manage to stand himself up from sitting. He then looks over his shoulder at you to make sure you are watching him. Once you give him praise and clap your hands, “Yeahhhh!! Ayden”, he then get’s so excited and claps his hands with the biggest smile. He is just so happy and we couldn’t be more blessed to have him in our lives.
It is just really exciting seeing him grow and gaining more and more personality. I love to just watch him and laugh at all the things he is doing. I don’t have too many pictures, so I promise I will get more to show everyone now that I will be home more. Enjoy!

Here is Ayden getting ready for to go out in that first snow storm....barely fits in the carseat.
He really loves that camera!

DaDa

Ayden seemed to love his first Christmas. I cannot believe he is already 9 months old!!! He had a lot of gifts from Santa to open. On Christmas morning, Bob and I gave him some gifts and just like we thought he tore the wrapping paper and then put the paper in his mouth. He seemed to really love the taste of that paper and was not as interested in what was in the package. He opened about 3 gifts and then went on and did his own thing. So needless to say Bob opened the other gifts for him.
About 2 weeks ago Ayden began to say Dada. He just started blurting out DADADADA. It was so cute and I was so jealous. It became a non-stop thing and that is all he kept saying. I knew it would be his first word though because Bob was so persistent in saying Dada to him ever since he was born. Once he got the Dada down, he began to say ma. Sometimes it comes out a little different, but we know what he is saying. All in all, we love that he is saying dada and mama.
Here are some pics from Christmas morning.

Here is a picture of Ayden propping up his bottle on the ottoman so that he can drink it. It was so funny when Bob and I saw this.

Here is Ayden in his first car...he loves it!

Our Future Baseball Player

So, once again I am late in updating my blog. Well, Thanksgiving was fun...it was really nice to see everyone. Ayden had a great time and just enjoyed everyone playing with him. He is just so much fun. He loves to play ball now. So we throw him a little ball, he picks it up (left handed just like his father) and throws it back to you. He really has an arm, he wings the ball right to you. Hopefully he will love to play baseball like Bob. Once he throws it, he gets really excited as he claps and laughs. I love it. It is very amusing.

We are now getting ready for Christmas. We put up the decorations and the tree now. I really thought Ayden would love the lights on the tree and would constantly be pulling at the branches, but he really has been very good with it. He definitely knows it is there, but just goes along his business and plays around it. We will be having Christmas at our house this year with my family and Bob's family. I am sure Ayden will love his first Christmas, especially all the toys he will be getting.

Here are some pics from Thanksgiving and some other ones of our cutie.

Lil Stinker

So, Ayden was a little skunk for Halloween. He looked so cute in his costume and he seemed to like it because I had him in it almost all day. I took off from work on Halloween and Ayden and I visited Bob at school. It is so funny to see all the kids with Ayden...they just swarm Bob when he was walking Ayden down the hallway. Here are some pics of the "Lil Stinker".

Sorry for the red eye!

His butt actually says "Lil Stinker"

I had to put this picture of Devon and his newly grown hair on the blog.

And of course the Phillies won the World Series!!!!!!!! We are sooo excited and cannot believe it. I wanted to post some pictures of Ayden in his Phillies gear.

Ayden at the parade (kind of)

So exhausted from all the partying.

So, as Ayden has been crawling around everywhere now he is learning to pull himself up and stand. For some reason, he really loves to stand and jump around and cannot sit still. My mom says he is exactly how I was when I was a baby. I never stopped moving. Here are some pics of Ayden pulling himself up and standing.
